ACS Benefit at Zeller Photography

Who are you fighting for?

Alright, I'm not the worlds best blogger.  I mean, it's been a couple of years since I've posted, right?  I am so passionate about this cause that it is worth blogging about.  So, take a look.  It's worth a few minutes of your time!

Saturday, April 6, 10am - 2pm, $30, 15-minutes and the opportunity to change the world around you!

Many of us have experienced the pain, grief or loss of battling cancer, whether personally or with a loved one.  When my friend Gina asked if I would be willing to help support her involvement in the Relay for Life to support the American Cancer Society, I eagerly agreed.  Gina's passion for this cause is a very personal one.

Together, we have planned this special photo event celebrating the relationships in our life.  You can even dedicate your photo session to a special someone in your life who has or is currently battling cancer.

You may schedule your 15 minute photo shoot and for only $30 you'll receive a 5x7 and set of wallets of your favorite image.  Plus, if you message me on facebook, I'll tag you with your image. You'll also have the opportunity to purchase more online the week following your session.  80% of all sales go to the ACS, reserving only to cover our direct costs of materials.

Give me a call at 918-663-0079 to schedule your session time.

Gina's Story

This year, I will again be participating in a fun and exciting community activity — the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. The Relay is a unique way to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society. I am sending you this letter in request of your support for my efforts.

When my brother-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at age 22, I wanted to help in a real and lasting way.   I decided to participate in Relay For Life, sponsored by several area businesses and the ACS.  Since then, my brother-in-law has passed away and my mother-in-law has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
The Relay For Life is an all-night walk/run event involving teams of 10-12 members who will keep at least one member on the track for a scheduled period of time. The Relay will take place at Glenbard North High School, IL from 6pm-6am. Hundreds of people will be joining in the fight against cancer.

Our team’s goal is to raise money for research, educational programs, advocacy and patient services.  Team Extreme has participated in Relay for six years and so far we have donated over $13,000!  We could not have done so without the help of the generous community we live in!  Any help that we receive is appreciated more than I can express.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Little Angels

Last week's limited special, Little Angels, was so much fun. I enjoyed photographing the children and babies, capturing the purity of their youth. We had babies from 10 weeks old through 7 year old children. Please keep this special in mind for next year. It really does allow us to create those treasured images that you will enjoy for years and years. My angel portraits of my children come out to decorate my walls every year with the rest of our seasonal decorations. We love to decorate our home in such a personal way for Christmas!

Many thanks to all of you who helped to make our first annual Zeller Photography Fall Charity a successful event. We were able to raise several bags full of food to help support the food pantry at Tulsa Cornerstone Assistance Network's Work Opportunity and Recovery Center (WORCs) ministry. For more information about this ministry, please visit http://www.tulsacan.org/. Not only were we able to help our community, we had a great time doing it! Most of the kids loved our haunted house, and those little ones who weren't quiet ready for that enjoyed doing craft projects and jumping around in the inflatible. For moms and dads, we provided free photos of all the children who came in costume. Several of our moms also took advantage of our one day only specials to book their Holiday portrait sessions and receive the best specials of the year. Be sure to join us next year for this fun family event. We plan to make it bigger and better every year!

Easter 2009

This Easter season has kicked off to such a great start. What a beautiful group of kids and babies came to see us over the weekend!

Sweet little Lauren paid me a visit for what was so much more than her first Easter session. Lauren is two weeks old and honored me with capturing her first ever portraits with her Mommy and Daddy. This little baby was the "dream child", allowing us to work with her as long as we wanted to. We had such a great time. I can't wait for Mom and Dad to see the rest of her beautiful images.
Little Graham was so much fun to work with. He giggled and grinned through his whole session and was ready for more! What a sweet baby boy!

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays from Zeller Photography.

What better time to gather all of your loved ones for a timeless family portrait, than when they are all with you for your holidays? Our experience with young children and large groups can lend to a successful family portrait experience like this for your family. Give us a call, and we will work our magic with your children and grandchildren to preserve a memory that your family will treasure for years to come.

For fun, I just had to share some of the precious images that came from our children's sessions this season.

Family Portrait Season

Leslie Brian and I had so much fun photographing the Fell family over the summer. Although the little ones didn’t immediately see the fun in getting on board with the family portrait (as those of us with small children can relate), the family worked together with so much patience to create this beautiful image. I think that everyone agrees that it was worth the effort. Pam and Charlie will be enjoying their family portrait painted on our fine art canvas in her new living room!

Senior Portraits
This senior portrait session was so much fun. Brittany and her mom met at the studio on a Saturday afternoon for a Zeller Photography “Elite” portrait session. After an hour in-studio, we visited the additional locations that Brittany chose, including downtown and “the waterfall”. Brittany was so great, and willing to try anything. She even got into the freezing water at the waterfall. (Yes, freezing- this was back in April) Thanks for a great session, Brittany and Renee!

Check out how great Jordan looks in this layout from her leather album. Jordan has such confidence and such a great sense of style, it was easy to capture great images of her. Thanks to her mom and sister also, who helped this session come together!

High school senior portraits will be in full swing as the summer comes to an end and we head into fall. Please log onto http://www.zellerseniors.com/ for more information, including our great summertime specials. Plus, read great tips to help you prepare for this very special portrait session.
